Useful Information

Folic acid is essential for fetal health. Taking it even before becoming pregnant almost completely reduces the risk of serious malformations such as spina bifida and other nervous system anomalies. The Higher Institute of Health recommends starting taking 0.4 mg a day at least one month before conception and continuing until the third month of pregnancy. It is a simple gesture, but of enormous importance for your child's future. Ask your doctor or gynecologist what dosage is best for you.
