Within 3 days of birth (including the date of delivery) at the birth office of the clinic or hospital where you gave birth, if available, or within 10 days of birth at the mother's municipality of residence. Required documents: Valid parental identity document Certificate of birth assistance issued by the hospital (IMPORTANT)

The birth must be declared within 10 days at the Municipal Registry Office or within 3 days directly at the hospital where the delivery took place. Where to do it: In the hospital: If the birth took place in a health facility, the parents can declare the birth directly there, and the hospital will transmit the documentation to the Municipality. In the Municipality: If the parents prefer, they can make the declaration at the Registry Office. Required documents: Valid parental identity document/Certificate of birth assistance issued by the hospital
