Useful Information

After birth, whether the delivery was vaginal or caesarean section, it is good to perform postpartum visits to verify your well-being. Remember that it is not a luxury: it is part of your health as a parent. Pelvic floor education and re-education are essential: contact the midwife for an evaluation of the pelvic floor if problems related to urination persist 40-60 days after giving birth. Go immediately to the obstetric emergency room if you have a fever >38°C, abundant/smelling losses or clots, intense pain in the abdomen or scars/breast, redness or secretions from the caesarean section wound, difficulty urinating/defecating.
