When the test is positive, the first step is to book the obstetric visit. Contact the general practitioner to obtain the request with the M exemption code, which varies depending on the week of pregnancy (e.g. M07 for the 7th week) .This code allows you to access the public birth path free of charge. You can book the visit: - In a public hospital, through CUP or regional toll-free number or at the pharmacy.- In the family office in your area, via email or telephone.
Both courses are free and guaranteed by the National Health Service. If, on the other hand, you choose a gynecologist or a private center, the visits will be paid, but you can still integrate the public itinerary with some free exams. After the first visit, you will receive the schedule of checks and you will be able to meet your reference team for the entire pregnancy.
