It is necessary to notify the employer by delivering a copy of the application receipt sent to the INPS and the medical certificate of pregnancy

You must inform your employer by providing a copy of the receipt of the application submitted to the INPS and the medical certificate of pregnancy. The communication to the employer must be sent with adequate notice, usually at least one month before the start of the leave; it is advisable that this communication be made in writing, in order to have a formal record of the request.
