The first vaccinations are usually administered around the 3rd month of life (from the 61st day), with the hexavalent vaccine and the pneumococcal vaccine. These two vaccines protect against serious but preventable diseases, such as diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type b and Streptococcus pneumoniae infections (such as otitis and pneumonia) .How is the administration done: These are two intramuscular injections, one for each vaccine, generally in the child's thigh.
