Many parents fear that a pediatric first aid course may 'scare', but the opposite happens: knowing the correct gestures reduces anxiety and increases confidence. You learn to understand when to intervene and when, on the other hand, there is no need to worry. With simple and updated tools, you can transform a generic fear into a more lucid presence capable of truly protecting a boy or a girl.
In these courses you learn simple but fundamental gestures, such as: - what to do (and not to do) in case of airway obstruction (food, objects); - when to call for help and what to say to 112; - how to manage falls, burns or minor trauma in the first years of life. These are short meetings, often free of charge, proposed by consultors, Red Cross, hospitals and associations. In Italy there are no certification courses (the only one recognized is the BLSD) but they remain precious for prevention and for learning to act with awareness when every second counts.
