Useful Information

In water birth, labor (and sometimes birth) takes place in a tub with hot water (about 36—37°C), in a quiet environment and with the continuous assistance of a midwife. Water promotes relaxation, freedom of movement and reduces the perception of pain. It is a possible choice only in physiological pregnancies and in equipped facilities, with trained personnel and safety protocols. If problems appear, labor continues out of the water.

In Italy, it is still not very common in public birth points: if you are interested, ask in advance if the structure you have chosen provides it and enter your preference in the birth plan.
