Useful Information

The TIN is a specialized department that welcomes premature infants or those with birth complications, offering continuous monitoring and intensive care. It is a highly competent, but also profoundly human space in which parents are part of the treatment process. According to the Italian Society of Neonatology (SIN), early contact and the presence of the family are essential for the well-being of the newborn. Even in a place full of technology, relationships remain a valuable therapy.

Infants with prematurity, low weight, breathing difficulties or other conditions that require dedicated supports may be admitted to TIN. The SIN guidelines emphasize that the family has the right to be involved from day one: you can be next to your child, touch him, talk to him, participate in small acts of care. This contact helps neurological development and reduces the stress of hospitalization. Ask for psychological support if you feel you need it: dealing with TIN is not a path to take alone.
