Health balance

The health report is a free periodic visit made by the pediatrician of free choice to monitor the growth, development and overall well-being of the child. It is a moment of listening, prevention and dialogue, not just a medical check: it is used to monitor physical, motor, cognitive and emotional development, and to answer parents' doubts. During the health assessment, the pediatrician: - measures weight, height and head circumference, evaluating growth on the percentile chart; - observes motor skills, language, behavior and relationship; - asks questions about nutrition, sleep, teething, daily habits; - check the vaccination status and the dates of the next recalls; - gives indications on prevention, safety at home, screen use, management of emotions and early autonomy.It is useful to write down any doubts or observations in advance: this is the right time to ask everything that worries or intrigues you. Health reports are provided by the National Health Service at various key stages of development. Routine visits are generally carried out at: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, 3 years, 6 years. The health balance is scheduled directly with the pediatrician of free choice, who summons the family or provides instructions for making an appointment. There is no need for a medical requirement, and the visit is free for all children enrolled in the National Health Service.
