Useful Information

Your salary will be equal to 80% of your daily income, calculated based on the contributions paid in the last year.

If you are a self-employed worker, during compulsory maternity you are entitled to a wage (maternity allowance) paid by the INPS. The amount is equal to 80% of your daily income, calculated based on the contributions paid in the last year. If, on the other hand, you are enrolled in the INPS Separate Management, the allowance is calculated on the income you declared for tax purposes in the previous year. In practice, the INPS takes your earnings as a reference and recognizes 80% of the daily average.
