Useful Information

Ordinary adoption is not allowed for homogenitorial couples. But under some circumstances, one of the two partners may adopt the other's biological or adopted child (so-called adoption of the partner's child). This possibility has been recognized by various judgments of the Court of Cassation and the Juvenile Courts, but it is not yet explicitly governed by a national law.
